Productive
I have found myself somewhat productive in the past week. I made a serving dish, 2 stenciled t-shirts, and a sweater vest from an old sweater (and arm warmers!). I cut the fabric for my next bag, which will be an awesome patchwork bag from green print fabrics. I feel like I’ve accomplished some things lately and I will get more done in the next week…
Including the great clean out!
omigosh…
Lists and lists of craft projects to work on. I think I have a very busy fall/winter ahead of me. I’d love to be able to get at least half of them done but what will happen? If I’m lucky, 1/4 of them because of two reasons…
- the list keeps growing
- I procrastinate
So I guess by the time the middle of March rolls around (the end of winter) we’ll see what happens.
Quilts…
I love to make quilts out of old clothes, especially old clothes that meant something to us. Katie and I just went through her old clothes that don’t fit and found some great fabric to put a quilt together for her. It will be awesome.
If only I can get myself motivated to do that, plus make the one I want for myself out of old T-shirts and jeans.
Wait, you can make designs on shirts out of freezer paper?! How do I do it? :D I've only ever screen printed, and I was really sad when I realized I'll never be able to screen print t-shirts again unless my Graphics teacher from last year lets me use his stuff. But he might.
ok, what you need is freezer paper, an x-acto knife, an iron, fabric paint, and of course, a t-shirt!
i’m giving the link for the tutorial i used to learn how to do this. i think on my facebook in my photo albums there is an album called my crafts that have some of the shirts i’ve done, if not, i’ll find some and put them up.

WHAT IS YOUR EARLIEST HUMAN MEMORY?
my earliest memory is from may 1980. i can vividly remember standing in my grandmothers front yard, surrounded by our neighbors, watching the ash cloud from mt. st. helens reaching tacoma. i remember the bright sky growing dark and the neighbors sounding somewhat worried.
The world is such a wonderful place, to wander through…
Sometimes trying to buy or sell things on Craigs List is really irritating.
No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him.
Don’t ask God for what you think is good; ask Him for what He thinks is good for you.
